St. Thomas Police officers attended a residence regarding a theft of gas. Sometime overnight, suspects attended a driveway at a residence and syphoned gas from a vehicle. This remains under investigation. Ref#ST24022073
St. Thomas Police are investigating a shoplifting incident from a retail store at the business park located at 1063 Talbot Street. A suspect entered the establishment and stole a winter coat by hiding it under their own winter coat. The merchandise is valued at $300. This remains under investigation. St. Thomas Police are presently on scene investigating a house fire in the area of Ross Street and Erie Street. The unoccupied residence was extinguished by the St. Thomas Fire Dept. and no injuries have been reported at this time. Ref#ST24022102

- Always get a second opinion from family or friends regarding the situation
- No employer will reach out to you through apps like Whats App or Telegram
- No employer will ever pay you in crypto currency
- No employer will ask you to invest your own money
- Use the Canadian Anti- Fraud Centre as a resource to familiarize yourself with current scams and additional ways to protect yourself
