STPS media release for Saturday November 9th 2024

Warrants

On November 8th 2024, Officers located & arrested a 31 yr old St. Thomas resident wanted on outstanding warrants. The male was held for court and remanded into custody. ST24020349

Theft

A St. Thomas resident called STPS to report that in the early morning hours, someone had taken an Amazon package that had been left delivered on their front porch. Police are reviewing video in the area in hopes of identifying the suspect involved. ST24020357

Warrant

STPS Officers attended an address for a standby when they learned a male there was wanted on an outstanding bench warrant after he had missed a previous court date. The male was subsequently arrested and released on an appearance notice with a new court date. ST24020368

Arrest for assault

A 26 yr old London resident turned himself in on reasonable grounds for assault which was reported and investigated the day before. The accused was processed and released on an OIC Undertaking with conditions & a court date. ST24020298/ST24020384

Assault/Mischief

In the late evening of November 8th 2024, STPS was contacted to attend an address in the south end of the city for a disturbance. Through investigation, Police learned that a male, known to the residents, had attended the address over a post made online. The male got into a heated verbal altercation with the residents before things turned physical and property was damaged. No injuries were reported. The male was subsequently arrested and charged with assault, mischief and utter threats. He was transported to STPS station where he was processed and later released on an OIC Undertaking with conditions. The accused is set to attend court at a later date. ST24020411

Theft (picture below)

A resident on the south side of the city called to report that sometime overnight on November 7th into November 8th, an unknown person attended their home and took their red framed Specialized Hardrock (photo of the bicycle below). Police are reviewing video in the area as they investigate the incident.
