Warrant arrest

On November 17th 2023, a 34 yr old male was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant. He was released with a new court date. ST23020295

Warrant

A warrant has gone out for a 33 yr old male for failing to comply with his probation order. The male remains outstanding. RM23000661

Vehicle entry

Another St. Thomas resident had their vehicle entered sometime overnight from the 16th to 17th. The vehicle was rummaged through however nothing was taken and there was no damage reported. ST23020330

Mischief

On November 17th 2023, St. Thomas Police Service was contacted in relation a local resident’s vehicle which had been damaged while parked at a downtown restaurant. Police continue to investigate the matter and check for possible video in the area. ST23020337

Assault with a weapon

In the early morning hours of November 18th 2023, STPS Officers attended a downtown homeless shelter for reports of an assault which had occurred. Investigation revealed that a 42 yr old male had been assaulted with a bat by another male and sustained minor injuries which were treated by EMS at the scene. 34 yr old Justin Lapain of St. Thomas is currently wanted for 1 count of assault with a weapon and 1 count of fail to comply. Arson

STPS Officers attended a north end housing complex for reports of a dumpster fire. Upon Police arrival, no suspects were located in the area. The matter remains under investigation as Police check for witnesses and video. Break & enter

A female resident contacted Police after she returned home to find her front door damaged. Officers learned that the incident most likely stemmed from an event that occurred earlier in the night involving a male known to the complainant. Police continue to investigate the matter. ST23020359
