As a follow up to the previous announcement of the new STPS Police Services Dog Rocky joining the ranks this Fall, the service would like to acknowledge the commitments and dedication of PSD Axle, who will be retiring at the end of this month.
PSD Axle began his career with the STPS in September 2017 and has been an impactful asset for the past 7 years. We wish PSD Axle a much deserved slower pace outside of his public safety role, as he will now join retired PSD Trax in retirement.
Chief Roskamp has made a customary recommendation to the Police Services Board to allow Constable James to retain ownership of Axle as he moves into retirement.
