St. Thomas Police Service media release for Sunday September 17th, 2023

On the 16th day of September 2023 St. Thomas Police received a message from the Lambton County OPP regarding a 37 year old St. Thomas female that was in their custody on the strength of our warrant.  The warrant was in relation to a theft of motor vehicle early this week.  The female was in possession of the stolen car at the time of her arrest.  St. Thomas Police attended Lambton County and released the female on a future court date. Later the same day the London Police Service advised STPS that they had a 33 year old London man in custody on our warrant.  Police attended the City of London and released the male on a future court date.  ST23016498.

St. Thomas Police Service took a report of a vehicle entry in the south end of the city.  The vehicle was parked in the driveway of the residence.  A quantity of cash was removed from the vehicle along with identification.  ST23016504.

On the 16th day of September 2023 St. Thomas Police Service attended a north side residence for a family dispute.  The dispute was between a father and son.  As a result there are grounds for a 36 year old London man for assault with a weapon and threats.  The suspect is still at large and a warrant is being sought for his arrest.  ST23016523.

St. Thomas Police Service is currently investigating a theft from a Talbot Street pizzeria.  A suspect entered the backdoor of the business and removed an employee’s backpack.  This matter is still under investigation.  ST23016527.

On the 16th day of September 2023 a concerned citizen contacted police regarding an alarm going off at an Edward Street address.  Police attended and located a 30 year old St. Thomas male who had cut the security cord in the exterior of the compound.  While dealing with the male he provided a false name to officers.  The male was processed and charged with mischief and obstructing a peace officer. On the 17th day of September 2023 at 1:30 AM police received a call regarding a disturbance.  One of the people involved was a 45 year old St. Thomas man who was wanted by our service.  The male was arrest on the warrant and held for a court appearance.  ST23016548.

On the 16th day of September 2023 police attended a Flora Street address for a mischief to a vehicle.  The owner of the vehicle discovered they had 3 of their 4 tires slashed between 6 AM and 8 AM this date.  ST23016500.
