St. Thomas Police Service media release for Sunday May 21st, 2023

On the 19th day of May 2023 St. Thomas Police arrest a 64 year old male for breaching his conditional order.  The male was processed and after further investigation no charge was laid and he was released unconditionally.  ST23008475.

On the 19th day of May 2023 a bicycle was stolen from a William Street address.  The bike is described as black and white with 729 on the frame.  The forks and suspension are also white.  ST23008480.

On the 19th day of May 2023 a 29 year old female was arrested on an outstand warrant.  When the female was search police located a small quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine.  The female was held for court and released.  ST23008487.

On the 19th day of May 2023 police attended a Wellington Street address for a dog bite.  The complainant reports being bit by their neighbour’s dog.  The complainant required medical attention.  This matter is still under investigation. ST23008490.

On the 19th day of May 2023 while conducting LIDAR on Sunset Road an Infinity Q50 white in colour was observed travelling at 123 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone.  The driver was charged with stunt driving which resulted in a driver’s license suspension and a vehicle impoundment.  ST23008534.

On the 20th day of May 2023 a 49 year old St. Thomas man turned himself into police as there was grounds for his arrest for shoplifting from a local store.  The male was released on a future court date.  ST23008556.

On the 20th day of May 2023 London Police contacted us to advise they had a 31 year old London man in custody on our warrant.  STPS attend London and released the male on a future court date.  ST23008569.

On the 20th day of May 2023 St. Thomas Police attended a Woodworth Avenue address for a suspicious vehicle.  Upon police arrival a male party fled and was captured a short distance away.  It was determined the vehicle and the plates attached to it were both stolen.  A 27 year old Tillsonburg man was also in possession of break in instruments.  The male was transported to Police Headquarters and released on a future court date.

On the 20th day of May 2023 St. Thomas Police were advised by Strathroy Police that they had a 23 year old St. Thomas man in custody on our warrant.  STPS attended Strathroy and returned the male to St. Thomas where he will appear in court today. ST23008597.

On the 20th day of May 2023 St. Thomas Police attended a First Avenue business for a shoplifter.  The shoplifter was a 32 year old St. Thomas woman who was not charged.  The female was also wanted for a previous theft from another store.  She was processed and released on a future court date.  ST23008601.

On the 20th day of May 2023 police attended a Talbot Street address for a disturbance.  Police investigation determined there was no grounds to lay a charge.  One party left for the evening as alcohol was a factor in this disturbance.  ST23008602.

On the 21sy day of May 2023 police attended a Locust Street address for people going through vehicles.  Officers located a 34 year old and 42 year old St. Thomas males that were in possession of stolen property.  Both males were arrest and transported to Police Headquarters where they were released on a future court date.  ST23008607.  All the stolen property was recovered.
