St. Thomas Police Service media release for Sunday March 3rd, 2024

On the 2nd day of March 2024 Elgin County OPP had a 33 year old Tillsonburg female in custody, the female was also wanted by our service.  The female was transported to Police Headquarters where she was held for court and released by the courts.  ST24003343.

Later that morning a 35 year old St. Thomas man was arrested for breach his conditional sentence order.  The male was held for court and remanded into custody.  ST24003347.

St. Thomas Police are actively investing a break and enter to a south side residence sometime during the day on the 2nd day of March 2024.  Entry was gained by forcing open an exterior door to the residence.  This is an ongoing investigation, anyone with information is asked to contact St. Thomas Police and reference incident # ST24003354.

On the 2nd day of March 2024 St. Thomas police arrested a 42 year old St. Thomas woman on an outstanding arrest warrant.  The female was released on a future court date. ST24003372.

St. Thomas Police are investigating a fraud relating to scam involving Crypto currency.  The victim has investing a significant amount of their savings into this company which appears to be fraudulent.  The investigation is ongoing. ST24003374.

On the 2nd day of March 2024 St. Thomas Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Elgin Street and Talbot Street.  Prior to police arrival the driver of one of the vehicles involved fled from the scene.  At this time the driver’s whereabouts is unknown and the investigation continues.  It appears there was no injuries only significant property damage.  ST24003385.

On the 3rd day of March 2024 just after 4 AM St. Thomas Police responded to a disturbance at a south end residence.  Investigation determined a male had assaulted a female that was known to him.  The male was charged and released on a future court date with conditions.  ST24006698.
