St. Thomas Police Service media release for Saturday August 10th, 2024

On the 9th day of August 2024, the St. Thomas Police Service arrested a 22-year-old St. Thomas man on an outstanding endorsed warrant for failing to comply with his release order.  The male was processed and released on a future court date.  ST24013918.

On the 9th day of August 2024 St. Thomas Police received a report of a vehicle entry at a northside residence.  The ownership to the vehicle was taken.  ST24013923.

On the 9th day of August 2024 police attended a Talbot Street business for a shoplifter.  The male was located and arrested with the stolen items.  The male was processed and released on a future court date.  ST240123953.

Later that evening just after 730 PM a complainant attended at Police Headquarters to report receiving threats.  Investigation determined a 27-year-old London man had threated the victim who was known to him.  The male was arrested and released on a future court date with conditions.  ST24013955.

St. Thomas Police Service responded to a robbery call in the downtown core at 930 PM.  Evidence determined a 42-year-old male had brandished a knife in an attempt to steal an E-bike from the victim.  Police located and arrested the suspect.  The male was transported to police headquarters and held for court.  The victim was not injured.  ST24013969.

An alert citizen reported a vehicle driving on the whistle stop walking trail south of Elm Street.  Police attended and located a 38-year-old London woman who was operating the vehicle.  The female was taken into custody for operating a conveyance while impaired by alcohol.  The female registered over three times the legal limit of alcohol permitted while operating a vehicle.  The female was charged and released on a future court date.  ST24013974.

Seeking Public’s Assistance

Sometime overnight two E-Bikes were stolen from the backyard of a Forest Avenue address.  The brand of bikes are Demon Thunderbolt and EMMO Monta-X.  Attached are stock photographs of the stolen E-bikes.  Anyone with information is asked to contact STPS and reference incident # ST24013992.
