Sexual Assault Investigation Leads to Arrest
A 36 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested and remanded into custody following a sexual assault investigation stemming from an incident that occurred last night.
At 11:30 p.m. on Monday evening, officers responded to a report of a sexual assault involving two individuals known to one another.
Following an investigation by members of the Criminal Investigations Branch, a 36 year old St. Thomas resident was taken into custody early this morning. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed to attend court and remanded into custody.
The accused has been charged one count of Sexual Assault.
