Police Investigating Firearms Incident
St. Thomas, ON – June 17th, 2025
St. Thomas police are currently investigating a firearms incident that occurred during the early morning hours of June 17th, in the area of Erie Street and Talequah Street.
At around 1:45 a.m. multiple 9-1-1 calls reported gunshots heard in a neighbourhood south of Wellington Street. Upon arrival, police located evidence of gunfire, including damage to a residence consistent with bullet holes—no injuries have been reported.
STPS will remain in the area of Erie and Talequah Streets to support the ongoing investigation. At this time, police believe this was a targeted incident, with no threat to public safety.
The public is asked to avoid the area as police continue to process the scene. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available. This is believed to be an isolated incident.
