Members of the St Thomas Police Service and the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery team will be at the Dalewood Conservation Area on Dalewood Road this afternoon as part of the ongoing search for missing person, Ruhirwa.
This is part of a routine search procedure due to a body of water in the search area.
The community can expect a police presence in the Dalewood Conservation Area.
Please avoid the area while police are present.
Any updates will be provided if available.

St. Thomas, ON – Thursday November 20th 2025 (11:04)
The St Thomas Police are continuing to search for missing person, 50 year old Ruhirwa Nzabonimpa of St. Thomas.
Ruhirwa was reported missing on November 18th, 2025 and through investigation, police are sharing his last known location to be in the area of Dalewood Road at approximately 4:30 a.m. on the 18th, travelling northbound on foot. He was last seen wearing dark pants, brown boots, black leather coat with a grey hoodie and a fur lined hat with a brim. A photo has been obtained:
STPS is seeking assistance from anyone who may have seen Ruhirwa. He was last seen wearing dark pants, brown boots, black leather coat with a grey hoodie and a fur lined hat with a brim.

The St. Thomas Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 50 year old, Ruhirwa of St. Thomas.
Description:
- Gender: Male
- Race: Black
- Height: 5’10
- Build: Lean
- Hair Colour: Black
- Last seen wearing: brown work boots, dark pants, dark leather-like jacket, grey hoodie, dark ball cap.
Ruhirwa was reported missing on November 18th 2025 and was last seen in the area of Rice Rd in St. Thomas at 03:00.
Family and police are concerned for Ruhirwa’s welfare.
