Multiple arrests in Break and Enter 

As reported yesterday (ST23002101), St. Thomas Police were investigating after a trailer was entered at a business in the south end of the City sometime overnight of February 7th. Video surveillance showed 2 suspects entering the fenced area and prying open the locked trailer, stealing tools from within. Suspects left the area on foot, north into the Lake Margaret area carrying the stolen property.

The suspects were identified by St. Thomas Police via the video surveillance available.

As a result of this investigation St. Thomas Police Service arrested 3 individuals and conducted a search warrant at residence in the north end of the City, where they recovered the stolen property.

40 year old, Paul DeVree is facing 5 charges in relation to the break and enter and possession of the stolen property as well as failing to comply with his probation order.   DeVree was released from the Courts with a future court date in March of 2023.

 

30 year old, Sean Spehar is facing 5 charges in relation to possession and trafficking of stolen property. He was also charged with 2 counts of fail to comply with a release order and possession of a controlled substance.  Spehar was remanded into custody.

45 year old Rachel Leyten is facing 2 charges in relation to possession of stolen property and trafficking stolen property. Leyten was released from Police custody with a future court date in March of 2023.
