Warrants Executed

St. Thomas Police were notified by Grey Bruce OPP of a 39 year old female in their custody on an outstanding arrest warrant with the St. Thomas Police Service.  The female was released with a future court date in St. Thomas to appear on impaired driving charges and driving while under suspension. On Thursday February 9th 2023,  St. Thomas Police executed arrest warrants for a 31 year old male wanted on outstanding charges of theft under $5,000 and 2 counts of failing to comply with probation. He will now appear in St. Thomas with a future court date. ST23002164

Shoplifting Investigations

Officers on Community Patrol attended the Real Canadian Superstore yesterday afternoon in relation to a shoplifting incident.  It had been reported that an an unknown male, wearing a red and black hat, a black and brown jacket and jeans had concealed 4 packs of meat, valued at $50 in his jacket and attempted to leave the store. When approached by the loss prevention officer the suspect fled on foot. This remains under investigation. St. Thomas Police are seeking public assistance on the identity of the male. For the 2nd time on Thursday February 9th, 2023 St. Thomas Police were call to attend the Real Canadian Superstore in relation to a shoplifting incident. A loss prevention officer reports that an unknown male wearing a green camo hoodie and backward camo hat attempted to leave the store after concealing several items in a tote while shopping. The male did make a purchase of 2 items in his cart, however failed to pay for the items he had concealed, valued at $65.  The male (pictured) is described as mid-30’s, approximately 5′ 8″, 150-170 lbs. The male has a jewel tattoo on the top of his left hand. This remains under investigation. St. Thomas Police are seeking public assistance on the identity of the male in the photo. Break and Enter

Sometime between the early afternoon on Tuesday February 7, 2023 and the evening of February 9, 2023, unknown person(s) entered a locked unit containing various tools at a storage facility in the City’s North end. St. Thomas Police continue to investigate. ST23002207
