Bail Violations
A 39 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested following a traffic stop in the city on Tuesday. A vehicle with different licence plates was stopped by officers and the driver spoken to. Through investigation, police learned the driver was currently suspended. Additionally, the accused failed to provide the permit and had no insurance.
Charged with Fail to Comply with Release Order, Operate a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance, Driving While Under Suspension, Fail to Apply for Permit, Use Plate not Authorized, Disobey Stop Sign – Fail to Stop – Community Safety Zone, Drive Motor Vehicle- No Permit he was transported to police headquarters and processed to appear before the courts where he was remanded into custody. Assault
A 34 year old St. Thomas woman has been arrested following a disturbance Tuesday afternoon. Just after 3 p.m. police were called to the west-end of Talbot Street for the report of a physical altercation. Upon arrival, officers located the parties involved who were separated and calm. Through investigation, police learned the accused had physically assaulted the other individual after a verbal argument had escalated. Charged with one count of Assault, she was transported to police headquarters, processed and released on an undertaking with a future a court date. ST26016903
Warrant Arrest
A 56 year old London man has been arrested. On Tuesday, members of the STPS attended London Police Headquarters to assume custody of the individual. He had been charged with one count of Harassment and one count of Uttering Threats stemming from an investigation in August. The accused was transported to St. Thomas, processed and held to attend court. ST26016907/5847
Theft
A local resident is out close to $800 after learning their bank card had been used at various locations throughout the city. On Tuesday, police were called to investigate the report of several fraudulent transactions. Officer were able to obtain video from the locations the card was used and are attempting to identify the individual(s) responsible. This remains under investigation. ST26016875
A black leather purse containing a wallet with personal identification and banking information has been reported stolen. On Tuesday, police were called to investigate the theft that occurred between 8:30 – 9:00 a.m. in the 300 block of Talbot Street. CCTV has been provided to police. ST26016877
