Arrested
A 44 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. As the result of a traffic stop, officers learned the driver of the vehicle was under suspension and operation of a motor vehicle, prohibited. Through further investigation, STPS were made aware of an outstanding warrant with the RCMP in Newfoundland. The 44 year old was wanted by their service for two counts sexual assault, two counts sexual interference and two counts of exposure of genitals. The St. Thomas resident was transported to police headquarters, processed on the charges from the traffic stop which were one count driving while under suspension, one count operation while prohibited and one count take motor vehicle without consent and was remanded into custody. The St. Thomas Police Service is assisting members of the RCMP in facilitating the transfer of custody for the accused to answer to the charges in Newfoundland. ST23018801
A 30 year old wanted by St. Thomas police, has been arrested. On Tuesday October 24th 2023, the 30 year old St. Thomas resident attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant for Assault, stemming from an incident reported to police earlier this week. Theft
A Giant Mountain Revello bike has been reported stolen. On Tuesday October 24th 2023, STPS were called by the owner of the bike who reported that the black, green and white bike was locked to a bike rack out front of a local high school when an unknown person attended the area, cut the lock and left on the bike. Two packages that were delivered to an apartment building in the city’s north end have been reported stolen. On Tuesday October 24th 2023, STPS received the report through our online reporting portal. Officers responded to the report and continue to investigate. ST23018838
