A vehicle parked on Parkside Drive has been reported damaged. On Monday, the owner of the vehicle called police to report a window had been broken at some point over the weekend while the vehicle was parked in the area. ST25020647

Theft
A 35 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested after we were called to investigate the report of shoplifting. On Monday, officers attended a retail store on Talbot Street after it was reported that an unknown male had failed to pay for a 6-pack of beer. Officers identified the man as the 35 year old accused and located him a short distance away. He was charged with Theft under $5,000 and released on an appearance notice. ST25020681
A cast iron bistro set has been reported stolen from an address on Flora Street. On Tuesday, officers were called to the address to investigate the theft that occurred in the early morning hours. CCTV of the incident has been sent to police. This remains under investigation. ST25020692

A 44 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. On Monday, while dealing with the individual on an unrelated matter, officers at the Elgin County Courthouse were made aware of an outstanding warrant for Failure to Comply with Probation Order, dating back to May of this year. The accused was processed, made a court appearance and was released by the courts with a future date. ST25020639
A 39 year old St. Thomas man currently in custody on an unrelated charges, has been arrested. On Monday during a virtual court appearance, the warrant for his arrest was processed. The accused had been charged with Use, Deals, Acts of Forged Documents, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Theft over $5,000 stemming from an investigation dating back to November 2020. A 34 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. On Monday evening, while attending a call for service on the northside of the city, officers located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for Theft under $5,000 after he was identified as the person responsible in a shoplifting incident from last week. The accused was transported to police headquarters, processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25020665/20333
A 65 year old Port Stanley woman has been arrested. On Tuesday, we were contacted by the Elgin County OPP who had the individual in custody on the strength of our outstanding warrant. The accused had been charged with two counts of Theft under $5,000 after she was identified as the person responsible in separate shoplifting incidents reported to police in September and October. OPP transported the individual to St. Thomas police headquarters where she was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25020691/19297/17515
A 36 year old St. Thomas woman has been arrested. On Tuesday, she attended police headquarters to turn herself in on an outstanding warrant for one count of Break and Enter stemming from an incident in August. A 39 year old Cambridge woman has been arrested. On Tuesday, we were contacted by the Waterloo Regional Police Service who had the woman in custody on the strength of our outstanding warrant. The accused had been charged with Uttering Threats, Criminal Harassment and Fail to Comply with Probation Order after an investigation into unwanted communication. WRPS processed the individual who was released on an undertaking with a future court date in St. Thomas. ST25020712/15766
