Mischief
St. Thomas police are currently investigating the report of a stolen, exterior camera. On Tuesday March 4th 2025, police were called to an address on the southside of the city for the report of an unknown person attending the address and removing the camera. Video of the incident shows an individual wearing a mask, arriving on a bike and removing the camera. This remains under investigation. ST25003558
Harassment
A 17 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday March 5th 2025, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on outstanding charges with our service, in relation to an incident on Tuesday. The 17 year old had been charged with one count of Harassment and Failure to Comply with Release Order after police were called to investigate the report of unwanted communication. The individual was processed at police headquarters and transported to the Elgin County Courthouse for a court appearance. ST25003565
Warrant Arrests
A 33 year old Middlesex resident has been arrested. On Tuesday March 4th 2025, the London Police Service notified STPS that they had the individual in custody on the strength of an outstanding warrant held by our service, for Failure to Comply with Release Ordering stemming from an incident in December. The individual was processed by LPS and released with a future court date. ST25003576
A 47 year old Elgin County resident has been arrested. On Tuesday March 4th 2025, Elgin OPP notified STPS that they had the individual in custody on the strength of an outstanding warrant held by our service, for several driving offences in relation to an incident in January. The individual was processed by OPP and released with a future court date. ST25003584
Failure to Comply
A 29 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Failure to Comply with Release Order after police were made aware that the individual had failed to adhere to their court ordered curfew. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST25003582
Recovered Stolen Vehicle
A vehicle reported stolen out of London has been recovered in St. Thomas. The 2013 Chevrolet Equinox had been reported stolen from a car dealership in London, Tuesday afternoon. Last night, officers on community patrol located the vehicle in the 300 block of Talbot Street. This remains under investigation. ST25003579
