Sexual Assault Arrest 

A sexual assault investigation has led to the arrest of a 54 year old St. Thomas resident. The investigation, that began May 25th 2025, concluded yesterday with the arrest of the 54 year old who had been charged with Sexual Interference and Sexual Assault on a Person under 16 years of age. The individual was arrested and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with the a future court date. ST25009340

Assault

A 56 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Assault and Breach of Recognizance after we were called to a disturbance at an address on Talbot Street, last night. Upon arrival, officers learned the accused and the victim were known to each other and a dispute between the two had resulted in the assault. No injuries were reported. A warrant for the arrest of the 56 year old has been requested. ST25009372

Warrant Arrest 

A 72 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday, officers at the Elgin County Courthouse processed the individual on an outstanding warrant for Breach of A Conditional Sentence. The 72 year old was processed through the courts and released. ST25009316

A 45 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested and a warrant has been requested for the arrest of a 40 year old St. Thomas resident after police were called to an address on the northside of the city, last night. At around 8:20 p.m. police attended an address for an unwanted person. Through investigation, we learned the parties involved are currently on release conditions to not communicate with one another. As a result, a 45 year old St. Thomas resident was charged with Breach of Recognizance, transported to police headquarters and released on an appearance notice once processed. A warrant has been requested for the other involved party, a 40 year old St. Thomas resident who has been charged with two counts of Failure to Comply with Undertaking and two counts of Breach of Recognizance. Theft – Looking to Identify 

STPS are seeking public assistance in identifying the individual in the photo below. On Tuesday, officers attended a local grocery store to investigate the report of the unknown person failing to pay for $90 of meat products. Mischief 

A 36 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after police were called to investigate the report of an unknown individual causing damage to a business in the 400 block of Talbot Street, last night. Upon police arrival, a broken window was located. A description was provided to officers who located the individual a short distance away and took them into custody. The 36 year old was charged with one count of Mischief and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25009363

Vehicle Entry

A vehicle parked in the 100 block of Talbot Street was reported entered in the overnight hours of June 2nd. Reported stolen was change and cologne. No damage to the vehicle occurred. ST25009335
