Warrant Arrests
A 34 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after being identified as the person responsible for setting fire to a residential security camera. On Tuesday evening, we located the individual who had been charged with Arson in relation to the incident. The 34 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25010902/0925
A 52 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday, we were contacted by the London Police Service who had the individual in their custody on the strength of our outstanding warrant. The 52 year old had been charged with two counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance stemming from an incident in February. Custody was transferred to STPS and the individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST25010917
A 44 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. Early this morning, while dealing with the individual on an related call for service officers were made aware of an outstanding warrant for the individual stemming from an incident in January where they had been charged with Resist Peace Officer, Assault Peace Officer and Possession of a Schedule I Substance. The 44 year old was transported to police headquarters, processed and held to attend court. ST25010943/0408
Break and Enter
Several trailers at a locked storage facility on Burwell Road have been reported entered. On Tuesday, an employee of the business contacted police after noticing the fence surrounding the area had been cut. The employee reported that while checking the property, three trailers on site had been entered. This remains under investigation. ST250010869
Mischief
A vehicle parked on St. George Street has been reported damaged. On Tuesday morning, we were called to the area by the vehicle owner who wished to report that the windows of their vehicle had been smashed. CCTV of the area is available and being reviewed. ST25010851
A vehicle parked at an address on Edward Street has been reported damaged. On Monday evening, the vehicle owner reported the ignition to their truck had been damaged in what appeared to be an attempted theft. The incident was captured on surveillance video and is being reviewed. ST25010852
Theft
Several tools have been reported stolen from a work van parked on Yarmouth Road. On Tuesday, an employee arrived to work to find that their van, parked in a locked area of the business had been entered and the tools removed. This remains under investigation. ST25010876
A 42 year old London resident has been arrested after we were called to a shoplifting in progress. On Tuesday afternoon, we were called to a retail store on Wellington Street after receiving multiple 9-1-1 calls in regards to an unknown individual leaving the store with a cart full of power tools. The individual was located a short distance away and taken into custody. As a result, the 42 year old was charged with Theft under $5,000, processed at STPS Headquarters and later released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25010877
A 31 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after being identified as the individual responsible for a theft that occurred at a retail store on Talbot Street. On Tuesday afternoon, police were called to the store to investigate the report of an unknown individual failing to pay for $50 of merchandise. Video of the incident was reviewed and the individual was identified. On Tuesday evening, we located the 31 year old St. Thomas resident who was subsequently charged with Theft under $5,000 and released on an appearance notice with a future court date. ST25010909
A package value at $100 has been reported stolen from an address on Scott Street. On Tuesday, we were contacted by an individual who wish to report that they received photo notification from a courier service that their package had been delivered but when they arrived home to retrieve it, it had been stolen.
