Assault with a Weapon

A 51 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after police were called to investigate the report of an assault. On Tuesday, we were called to the 300 block of Talbot Street after a 911 call reported an argument occurring between two individuals and witnessing a physical altercation. Upon arrival, officers located the parties involved who were engaged in an argument. The accused was in possession of a weapon that was used to physically assault the victim. As a result, the 51 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with one count of Assault, one  count of Assault with a Weapon and one count of Failure to Comply with Probation. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed to attend court and remanded into custody. ST25011902

Failure to Comply – Drug Charges 

A 45 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Failure to Comply with Undertaking and Possession of a Schedule 1 substance – Methamphetamine after an incident on Tuesday. Just before 10:30 a.m. we were called to investigate the report of the accused contacting an individual they are currently on conditions to not communicate with. Officers located the 45 year old who was charged with Failure to Comply with Undertaking. A search of the individual during processing located 12.8 grams of suspected methamphetamine. ST25011906

Indecent Act

A 39 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after an incident in a local park, Tuesday evening. Just before 5:30 p.m. officers were called to a park located in the west end of the city to investigate the report of family with young children being approached by a suspicious person. A description of the individual was provided and attending officers quickly located the accused. Through investigation, the 39 year old St. Thomas resident was charged with one count of Indecent Act and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and later released on an undertaking with a future court date. Warrant Arrests 

A 34 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. While dealing with the individual on an unrelated call for service, we became aware of an outstanding warrant for Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Use of Credit Card and Failure to Comply with Probation. The 34 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25011919

An investigation that began in June has concluded with the arrest of a 31 year old London resident. On Tuesday, with the assistance of OPP Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) the individual was located and arrested. The 31 year old had been charged with:

  • Assault
  • Assault Cause Bodily Harm
  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Forcible Confinement
  • Fail to Provide Necessaries of Life
  • Uttering Threat to Cause Death

The individual was transported to St. Thomas Police Headquarters where they were processed to attend court and were remanded into custody. ST25011908

Bail Violations 

A 41 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Failure to Comply with Release Order after police were notified they had not attended their scheduled probation appointments. A warrant for their arrest has been requested. ST25011899

Theft

St. Thomas police are currently investigating the report of property stolen from an address on Redan Street. On Tuesday, we were called to attend the address for the report of a green, metal bench that had been stolen at some point in the overnight hours. This remains under investigation. ST25011907
