Intimate Partner Violence

A 49 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after we were called to a disturbance, Tuesday evening. Officers attended an address on the southside of the city to investigate the report of an argument between spouses that had escalated, resulting in the 49 year old assaulting their partner. As a result, the accused was charged with one count of Assault and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25012942

Theft

A set of four tires, valued at $1,500 have been reported stolen from a business of Edward Street. On Tuesday, we were called to the business to investigate the theft. Through investigation and review of video surveillance at the address, an unknown person could seen loading the tires into a wagon and walking away with them. Efforts to identify the person are ongoing. This remains under investigation. ST25012097

A 43 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after we were called to a retail store on Talbot Street. On Tuesday morning, we attended the store to investigate the report of a theft that had just occurred. A description was provided to police who located the individual a short distance away in possession of more than $300 of stolen merchandise. The 43 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were charged with two counts of Failure to Comply with Probation Order and Theft under $5,000, processed and released with a future court date. A 35 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested in relation to a shoplifting incident that occurred over the weekend. Yesterday, we attended a retail store on Talbot Street to obtain video of the incident. Through investigation, officers identified the person responsible for failing to pay for several items of clothing. Last night, officers on community patrol located the individual who was charged with Theft under $5,000, processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25012749

Three St. Thomas residents have been charged after we were called to a business on Burwell Road, last night. The owner of the business contacted police after being notified of an alarm on the property. A review of their security camera system showed three individuals, causing damage to underground cables on the property and leaving with a quantity of various wires and materials. Officers were able to identify the parties and as a result:

  • A 32 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Mischief and Theft under $5,000
  • A 54 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Mischief and Theft under $5,000
  • A 41 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Theft under $5,000

Warrants for their arrests have been requested. ST25012948

Warrant Arrests 

A 29 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted by our service after being charged with Break and Enter in relation to an incident in January. The individual had also been charged with four counts of Theft under $5,000, after being identified as the person responsible for several recent shoplifting incidents. The 29 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed to attend court and subsequently released by the courts. ST25012926

A 40 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday evening, we were called in regards to an unwanted person. Through investigation, officers learned the individual had been trespassed from the address and had an outstanding warrant. The 40 year old had been charged with Theft under $5,000 and Failure to Comply with Probation Order after an incident in April. The individual was transported to police headquarters, processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST25012949

A 52 year old St. Thomas resident charged with four counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and four counts of Use of Credit Card has been arrested. The 52 year old had been charged after being identified as the person responsible for stealing a wallet and using the credits cards. Last night, officers located the individual who was transported to police headquarters, processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25012963

Bail Violations

A 52 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Failure to Comply with Release order after we were notified by their Probation Officer that they had failed to attend their court ordered supervision program. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST25012915
