Trespass Charges Laid

Two St. Thomas residents have been charged with Trespassing after police were called to a building on Elizabeth Street, Tuesday morning. It was reported that two individuals had possibly entered a vacant building. While clearing the building, two individuals were located. Both were charged with trespassing and moved along. No damage to the building or the property was reported. ST25022694

Intimate Partner Violence

A 37 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday evening, officers were called to an address on the northside of the city for the report of an altercation between spouses. Upon arrival, police met the accused outside after they had locked their partner inside following a physical altercation. As a result, the 37 year old was charged with one count of Assault and one count of Forcible Confinement. The individual was transported to police headquarters, processed and later released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25022728

Warrant Arrests

A 51 year old London resident has been arrested. On Tuesday, we were notified by OPP – Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) that they had the individual in custody on the strength of our outstanding warrant. The individual had been charged with Failure to Comply with Probation Order, Dangerous Operation and several offences under the Highway Traffic Act stemming from an incident in December of 2023. Officers attended and assumed custody of the accused who was transported to police headquarters, processed to attend court and was subsequently released by the courts. ST25022695/ST23020480

A 34 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday, we were notified by the London Police Service that they had the individual in custody on the strength of our outstanding warrant. The individual had been charged with Theft under $5,000 and Failure to Comply with Probation Order after being identified as the person responsible in a shoplifting incident from April. The accused was transported to St. Thomas police headquarters, processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST25022736/ST25005296

A 41 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. Early Wednesday morning, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant for Mischief under $5,000, Theft under $5,000 and Failure to Comply with Undertaking, stemming from an incident in July. The 41 year old was transported to police headquarters, processed and later released on an appearance notice with a future court date. ST25022738/ST25010875

Theft

The catalytic converter of a pickup truck, parked at a Scott Street address has been reported stolen. On Tuesday, a city employee returned to the commercial pick up truck after it had been parked for the weekend to find it had been damaged and the part, removed. This remains under investigation. Several toys have been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. On Tuesday evening, police were called to the store to investigate the report of two unknown individuals failing to for their items. Video has been provided to police as this remains under investigation. ST25022714
