Warrant Arrest
A 48 year old St. Thomas woman charged with one count of Fraud following an investigation that began in August, has been arrested. On Tuesday, the accused attended police headquarters to turn herself in. She was processed and released with a future court date. ST25022320
Theft
A shoplifting incident at a downtown retail store on Tuesday has resulted in several charges. On Tuesday afternoon we were called to the 300 block of Talbot Street to investigate the report of an unknown woman failing to pay for merchandise. Video was provided to police who were familiar with the individual captured on camera. A short time later, police were called back to the area for the report of the same individual re-attending the store. Upon arrival, officers located a 40 year old St. Thomas woman known to them to be wanted by our service for three counts of Theft under $5,000 in relation to shoplifting incidents in September, October and November. She was additionally charged with one count of Theft under $5,000 and transported to police headquarters where she was processed and later released on an undertaking with a future court date. Disqualified Driver
A 55 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. On Tuesday afternoon as the result of traffic stop, officers learned the driver was currently prohibited from driving. As a result, he was charged with Operation while Prohibited, processed and released on an appearance notice to attend court. The vehicle was towed and impounded. ST25022331
