Warrant Arrest Leads to Additional Charges
A 42 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested following a traffic stop on South Edgeware Road, Tuesday morning.
The individual, known to be wanted by our service for Failure to Comply with Release Order in relation to charges from July was taken into custody. A search incident to the arrest, located quantities of suspected methamphetamine and cocaine, along with packaging materials, a scale and currency.
As a result, the 42 year old was additionally charged with:
- Two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Failure to comply with a release order
Once processed at police headquarters, he was transported to court and remanded into custody. ST26014906/4914
Break and Enter Investigation
$11,000 of metal, tools and various wiring has been reported stolen from a business in the industrial area of the city. On Tuesday, police attended the business on Centennial Avenue to investigate the incident that occurred on Monday night.
Scrap metal, extension cords and a Dewalt impact driver and copper wiring was removed from the property. CCTV showed a man wearing a ball cap, black hoodie, black shorts and black shoes, accompanied by a woman wearing a ball cap, pink bandana, black shirt and black pants on the property and leaving with the items. Failure to Comply
A 38 year old St. Thomas man has been charged following an incident on Tuesday night. Police attended an address on the southside of the city to investigate the report of a disturbance. Upon arrival officers learned the accused, who is currently on release conditions to not attend the address or communicate with the individual who resides there, had attended the address and engaged in a verbal altercation. He had left the area prior to police arrival. Charged with three counts of Failure to Comply with Release Order and three counts of Failure to Comply with Probation, a warrant for his arrest has been requested. ST2601461
Public Mischief
A 29 year old St. Thomas man has been charged after repeatedly calling 9-1-1. Tuesday evening, police communicators spoke with the man who had called with a civil complaint, not requiring a police response. He was provided information about the appropriate non-emergency options available for his concerns. Despite repeated warnings from communicators, the man continued calling 9-1-1. In total, 43 calls were placed within one hour.
Charged with one count of Public Mischief and one count of Failure to Comply with Probation, a warrant for his arrest has been requested.
The St. Thomas Police Service reminds the community that 9-1-1 is for emergencies requiring an immediate response from police, fire or paramedics. Warrant Arrest
A 45 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. On Tuesday evening, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant for Failure to Comply with Probation. He was transported to police headquarters, processed and held to attend court. ST26014957
Theft
A 53 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested in connection with a theft investigation. On July 16th 2026, police received a report that approximately $150 worth of clothing had been stolen. Video was provided to police who identified the individual responsible. On Tuesday August 4th 2026, the man was arrested in relation to the incident. He was processed and released on an appearance notice with a future court date. ST26014952
A cell phone has been reported stolen from a shopping cart at retail store on Talbot Street. The owner reported leaving the phone in the cart while using the store washroom on Monday night. Upon leaving the store, the owner realized the phone was missing. Video is being provided to police. ST26014903
Vehicle Entries
A vehicle parked in a driveway on Moore Street was entered overnight and a bank card was stolen. The card was later used for approximately $230 in unauthorized purchases at three St. Thomas businesses. Video surveillance is available and being reviewed. ST26014909
A vehicle parked in a driveway on Fairview Avenue was entered. A spare key attached to a pink keychain was reported stolen. ST26014931
A vehicle parked in a driveway on Beverly Street was entered early this morning. The vehicle owner reports when leaving their house they found the unknown party in their car. The individual, described as wearing black clothing, a blue medical mask and a black backpack fled the area of foot. ST26014964
