Failure to Comply
An 80 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested following an investigation that began on the weekend. On Sunday, officers attended a local pool for an unrelated call for service involving a theft. While there, officers observed an individual known to them to be conditions to not to attend a public park or public swimming area where persons under the age of 16 years are present including daycare centers, school grounds, playgrounds or community centers. As a result, the 80 year old was charged with Failure to Comply with Probation Regarding Children. The individual was arrested on Tuesday, processed to attend court and was remanded into custody. Warrant Arrests
A 29 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. While on an unrelated call for service on Tuesday, officers located the individual known to them to be wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant for three counts of Theft under $5,000 stemming from shoplifting incidents this summer. The individual was transported to police headquarters, processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25014386
A 41 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday afternoon, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant with our service for three counts of Operation while Prohibited and Drive while Under Suspension. The 41 year old was processed and released with a future court date. ST25014415
Assault
A 39 year old London resident has been charged with Assault after we were called to investigate the report of an escalating argument between known parties at an address on the southside of the city. Through investigation, officers learned the accused had assaulted an individual after a verbal argument turned physical. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST25014436
Break and Enter
A trailer, parked in a secured lot on the northside of the city has been reported entered. On Tuesday, the owner of the trailer contacted police to report at TV and TV mount had been stolen from the trailer that has been parked at the address for the last two months. Theft Investigations
A bike has been recovered in an ongoing shoplifting investigation. On Tuesday, we were called to a grocery store in the city for the report of an unknown individual arriving to the store on a bike, shopping and leaving the store failing to pay for their items. The individual left the store on foot, leaving the bike behind. Video of the incident is being reviewed to identify the person responsible. ST25014403
An Amazon package containing pet supplies has been reported stolen from the porch of an address on Rickwood Place. On Tuesday, we were called to the address after the recipient received a notification of delivery, but returned home to find their package gone. ST25014424
A yellow TREK 4500 mountain bike has been reported stolen from an address on Alma Street. On Tuesday, the owner of the bike called police to report that at some point in the overnight hours, their bike has been stolen from their fenced yard. This remains under investigation. ST25014425
A pink and grey bike has been reported stolen from a separate address on Alma Street. On Tuesday evening, police were called to the area after the owner of the bike reported that while visiting a friend, leaving their bike outside, it was stolen. This remains under investigation. ST25014457
A bottle of alcohol has been reported stolen from a Talbot Street retail store. On Tuesday afternoon, we were called to the store to investigate the report of an unknown individual paying for one item but concealing a second item to avoid paying for it. A quantity of alcohol has been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. On Tuesday evening, we were called to the store to investigate the report of an unknown individual failing to pay for several cans of alcohol.
