Fail to Stop

St. Thomas police are seeking assistance in identifying two individuals who failed to stop for police on Monday afternoon. Just before 3:00 p.m. officers on community patrol observed two dirt bikes being driven on Forest Avenue. When attempting to stop the bikes, both riders took off at a high rate of speed. In the interest of community safety, the pursuit was discontinued. Photos of the accused can be seen below:

Warrant Arrests

A 44 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. On Monday, the accused attended police headquarters to turn himself in on several charges laid over the weekend in relation to an intimate partner violence investigation. He had been charged with two counts of Fail to Comply with Probation, Assault Cause Bodily Harm, Assault with a Weapon, Mischief and Uttering Threats. The accused was processed to attend court and was remanded into custody. ST25019724/19664

A 23 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. On Monday, while dealing with the individual on an unrelated call for service, officers were made aware of an outstanding warrant for arrest with the London Police Service. The accused was transported to police headquarters, processed on the outstanding warrant for London and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25019734

Failure to Comply

A 45 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged after failing to attend their court ordered probation. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST25019728

Threats

A 19 year old St. Thomas man has been charged with one count of Utter Threats after an incident at a Talbot Street restaurant Monday night. Just after 6:30 p.m. police were called to the area to investigate the report of the accused threatening to harm another customer. The 19 year old was identified by police but had left the area. A warrant for his arrest has been requested. ST25019761

Mischief Investigations

Damage to a building on John Street has been reported to police. On Monday, staff returning to work from the weekend called police to report copper pipes had been cut off the exterior of the building. Video in the area is available and being provided to police. ST25019720

A fence in the 1000 block of Talbot Street has been reported damaged. On Monday, the property owner called police to report several sections of the fence surrounding the property appeared to have been cut with a grinder or blade. This remains under investigation. ST25019725

Significant damage has been caused at an east end car wash. On Monday, the owner of the business called police to report that several of the vacuums and door openers had been damaged. Video of the incident is being provided to police as this remains under investigation. ST25019747

Police are investigating additional damage caused to a building in the 1200 block of Talbot Street. On Monday evening, police were called to the area to investigate the report of windows of the building being smashed by an unknown group of youth. All parties had left the area prior to police arrival. This remains under investigation. ST25019759

Theft InvestigationsĀ 

Several pieces of clothing have been reported stolen from a retail store on First Avenue. On Monday, staff reported the incident that occurred on Saturday afternoon. A female was last seen leaving the area in an RV style vehicle. This remains under investigation. ST25019718

Groceries items have been reported stolen from a retail store on Edward Street. On Monday afternoon, police attended the store for the report of an unknown male failing to pay for their items. Video of the incident is being provided to police. ST25019733

A set of pots and pans have been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. On Monday, police were called to the store to investigate the theft that occurred on Saturday evening. It was reported that an unknown male left the store with the items, failing to pay. CCTV of the individual and the vehicle he was driving has been provided to police. ST25019765

Groceries items have been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. On Monday, store staff reviewing video surveillance found the incident that occurred on October 11th. The video shows an unknown male attend the cash register and pay for some but not all of his items. That video has been provided to police. ST25019767
