Failure to Comply 

An 80 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after police were called to an address on Highview Drive. Through investigation officers learned the individual had recently been released on an undertaking with conditions to not attend the address of the call for service. As a result, the 80 year old was charged with one count of Failure to Comply with Undertaking. The individual attended police headquarters where they were processed and released. ST24020057/76

A 71 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged after police were notified that the individual had attended an address on the northside of the city. The individual is on several release conditions to not attend the address of concern and has subsequently been charged with two counts of Failure to Comply with Release Order. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST24020070

Fraud

A local resident is out approximately $1,500 after falling victim to a scam. On Monday November 4th 2024, the victim contacted police to report the incident. Through investigation police learned the individual had been contacted by an unknown person posing as an employee of a cell phone company, requiring payment for upgrades to their services.  The victim was instructed to purchase various gift cards and provide the details to the suspect employee. This remains under investigation. ST24020090

Break and Enter 

St. Thomas police are currently investigating the report of a commercial break and enter. On Monday November 4th 2024, police were called to a business on the west end of the city where it was learned that the locked storage area of the business had been accessed and a quantity of scrap metal had been removed. Video surveillance of the area is being reviewed as police continue to investigate. ST24020092

Warrant Arrest 

A 49 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday November 5th 2024, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant stemming from an incident in June, where they had been charged with Break and Enter. The 49 year old was processed and released on an appearance notice. ST24020121
