Break and Enter
Additional property has been reported damaged and entered in an ongoing break and enter investigation on Edward Street. On Monday, police were contacted in regards to an additional trailer that had been entered with approximately $1,000 of property stolen. On Sunday, officers were originally called to the area after the owner of a trailer being stored at the address, found it damaged and entered. Through investigation police learned access to the property was gained by a hole cut in the fence surrounding the area. This remains under investigation. ST25021469/21422
Mischief
Several housing units on Kains Street have been reported damaged. On Monday, officers attended the area to investigate the report of several properties having copper wire and electrical wire stripped and stolen. CCTV in the area is being reviewed. This remains under investigation. ST25021476
Theft
A security camera has been reported stolen from a business on John Street. On Monday, police were called in regards to the theft that was captured on video. The video shows an unknown person attend the area and remove the camera. This remains under investigation. ST25021475
A 52 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. On Monday, officers were called to a retail store on First Avenue for the report of an unknown individual failing to pay for their items. Officers attended and located the man who was charged with Theft under $5,000 and released. ST25021478
Counterfeit Money
St. Thomas police are currently investigating the use of counterfeit money. On Monday, a local resident contacted police to report they were given counterfeit money as payment for an item sold online. It was reported that a total of $2,500 was received during an in person exchange. CCTV from the exchange location has been requested. This remains under investigation. ST25021481
Warrant Arrest
A 52 year old Middlesex woman has been arrested. On Monday, we were contacted by the OPP who had the woman in custody on the strength of our outstanding warrant for Theft under $5,000 stemming from a shoplifting incident in April. STPS officers attended and took custody the individual who was transported to police headquarters, processed and released on an appearance notice with a future court date. ST25021524/ST25006911
