Intimate Partner Violence
A 36 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. On Sunday, police were called to an address on the southside of the city for the report of an altercation between spouses. Through investigation officers learned a verbal argument had escalated resulting in a physical assault. Charged with one count of Assault, the 36 year old was transported to police headquarters, processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST26008933
Flight from Police
While attempting to conduct a traffic stop on Elm Street Sunday afternoon, a vehicle that had initially complied with police and pulled over, sped away from the area as an officer approached the vehicle to speak with the driver. Described as a red Volkswagen Sedan with a black trunk, officers are looking to identify the registered owner. ST26008958
Robbery
Just after 3:00 a.m. on Monday morning, officers were called to the Northside of the city to investigating the report of a robbery. Upon arrival, officers learned the victim had their belongings stolen while walking in the area. It was reported that while walking home, a van had been following the victim. After a verbal exchange, it was reported that three unknown males exited the van and took the victim’s cell phone and personal belongings. This remains under investigation. ST26009000
Theft
A red, Honda Generator has been reported stolen from an address on Centre Street. On Monday, the owner of the generator attended police headquarters to report the theft that occurred at some point in the overnight hours. ST26009043
Indecent Act – Sexual Assault
A 35 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested following an incident Monday evening. Just before 8 p.m., officers were called to a downtown address after receiving reports of an individual exposing himself in public. During the investigation, officers also learned of unwanted and unsolicited touching. The accused had left the area prior to police arrival but was located a short distance away and arrested. Charged with one count of Indecent Act and two counts of Sexual Assault, he was processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST26009060
