Fraud
A 45 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after the conclusion of a fraud investigation that began in October of 2024. At that time, a victim had attended police headquarters to report that an unknown person had taken a loan out in their name, using their identification. Over the course of several months, Detectives gathered video and transaction history while they attempted to identify the person responsible. On Monday July 28th 2025, the 45 year old accused was charged with Fraud over $5,000 and taken into custody. The individual was processed at police headquarters and later released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25013332
Stolen Vehicle
A 2010 black Ford Flex has been reported stolen. On Monday, the owner of the vehicle contacted police to report that the person they had lent their vehicle to had failed to return it. Through investigation officers learned the vehicle was last seen in St. Thomas on July 4th 2025. With Ontario plates reading DFFN 016, further investigation found reports of the vehicle being seen in Strathroy and London. This remains under investigation. Mischief
A City of St. Thomas pick up truck has been reported damaged. On Monday, a city employee returned to the vehicle that had been parked in a lot on Wellington Street for the weekend to find the windshield had been smashed. This remains under investigation. ST25013320
St. Thomas police are currently investigating the report of damaged caused to the front door of an address on Ross Street. On Monday, officers attended the address to investigate the report of an unknown group attending the area and throwing rocks at the door. Damage to the door was observed by police. Theft
A silver, Norco mountain bike has been reported stolen from an business on Talbot Street. On Monday, the owner of the bike contacted police to report that their bike that had been locked to a rack outside of their work place, had been stolen at some point while they were at work. The bike was equipped with an air tag alerting the owner to the possible location. Police attended an address on the southside of the city, but did not locate the bike. This remains under investigation. ST25013324
A black Motorino e-bike, valued at $700 has been reported stolen. On Monday, the owner of the bike contacted police to report that while at a retail store on Talbot Street on June 24th, their bike had been stolen. CCTV in the area on that date was reviewed with nothing captured. A photo of the bike can be seen below. This remains under investigation. ST25013342
A luggage cart, valued at $1,300 has been reported stolen from a local hotel. On Monday, officers attended the address to investigate the report of an unknown person attending the lobby of the hotel and taking the cart. Video of this incident is being reviewed as police work to identify the person responsible. ST25013346
Looking to Identify
St. Thomas police are looking to identify the individual in the photo below. The unknown person attended an address on Metcalfe Street and stole a package with $100 of items in it. Warrant Arrests
A 42 year old St. Thomas resident, wanted by our service for Breach of Recognizance, Failure to Comply with Release Order and Fraud has been arrested. The individual, located by officers yesterday had been charged after incidents dating back to 2024. The 42 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed to attend court and was subsequently remanded into custody. ST25013334
A 37 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Monday, officers on community patrol were made aware of a disturbance between two people in the 400 block of Talbot Street. The individuals, who had been in a verbal argument were located. Through investigation officers learned the 37 year old was wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant for Assault with a Weapon and Theft under $5,000 stemming from an incident in March of this year. The individual was processed and released on an appearance notice with a future court date. Custody of the individual was transferred to the London Police Service who had an outstanding warrant for arrest. ST25013357
