Break and Enter
Approximately $6,000 of tools have been reported stolen from a shed on St. Catherine Street. On Monday July 21st 2024, St. Thomas police were called to investigate the incident that occurred sometime in the overnight hours. It was reported that a shed on the property had been broken into and the tools removed. Police are reviewing available CCTV in the area as they continue to investigate. ST24012575
Intimate Partner Violence
A 34 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after police were called to a disturbance on the west side of the city. On Monday July 21st 2024, officers were called to the 200 block of the Talbot Street for the report of an assault. Upon arrival, police located the parties involved and through investigation, it was learned that a verbal argument between a couple had escalated resulting in a physical altercation. As a result, a 34 old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Assault and Failure to Comply with Probation. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24012609
Warrant Arrest
A 45 year old London resident has been arrested. On Monday July 21st 2024, St. Thomas police were contacted by London police who had the individual in their custody on the strength of an outstanding warrant with our service dating back to 2022. The 45 year old had been charged with three counts of Failure to Comply with Release Order, two counts of Identity Theft, two counts of Obtain Credit by False Pretense, two counts of Use, Deals, Act on Forged Document, Uttering Forged Passport, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and two counts of Fraud over $5,000. Officers attended London to take custody of the individual who was transported to police headquarters, processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST24012632
Assault
A 40 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after police were called to a disturbance on the south side of the city, early this morning. Just after midnight, officers attended the area in response to a family dispute that had escalated. Upon arrival, police learned an assault had occurred and formed grounds to charge the 40 year old with one count of Assault and one count of Assault with a Weapon. The individual was arrested and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24012644
