Arrested
The 27 year old St. Thomas resident charged with Assault and Mischief after we were called to a family dispute on Sunday afternoon, has been arrested. On Monday, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in. The 27 year old was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25012343/12287
Break and Enter
$50,000 in damages to new homes under construction in a residential development on the southside of the city, has been reported to police. On Monday, we were called to the area to investigate the report of several unoccupied houses in the area being entered over the weekend. Damage to front doors, garage doors and interior doors was observed by police. Copper wire and lighting fixtures were reported stolen from at least six houses. This remains under investigation. Warrant Arrest
A 44 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. While dealing with the individual on an unrelated matter at the Elgin County Court House, officers we made aware of an outstanding warrant for Impaired Operation, dating back to 2022. The individual was processed, appeared in court and was remanded into custody. ST25012340
Theft
A black and orange, Kukirin Scooter valued at $1,200 has been reported stolen. The owner of the scooter attended police headquarters to report that it had been taken from an address on Elgin Street. This remains under investigation. ST25012341
Mischief
Damage to a window in the 200 block of Talbot Street was reported to police. On Monday night, we were called to the area by a concerned citizen who noticed the damaged. CCTV in the area is being reviewed. ST25012376
