Vehicle entry 

Vehicle ownership documents have been reported stolen to police. On Monday January 29th 2024, STPS were called to investigate a vehicle entry that occurred sometime between Friday afternoon and Monday morning at a southside address. There was no damage to the vehicle and nothing else reported stolen. ST24001351

Warrant arrest

A 25 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Monday January 29th 2024, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant with our service for Failure to Comply with Probation Order. The 25 year old was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24001367

Theft

On Monday January 29th 2024, officers were called to a local grocery store to investigate an incident where approximately $35 in groceries had been stolen. Through investigation and review of the in store CCTV, police confirmed the identity of the individual responsible. As a result, a 39 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Theft under $5,000. ST24001381

St. Thomas police are currently investigating two incidents of theft that occurred at a retail store on Talbot Street. On Monday January 29th 2024, officers were called to the store to investigate the incidents that took place on January 18th and January 26th. Various items of clothing valued at over $2,200 was reported stolen by the same suspect. Police are reviewing available CCTV to identify the individual responsible. This remains under investigation. Fraud 

St . Thomas police are currently investigating an incident of online fraud. On Monday January 29th 2024, the victim attended police headquarters to report falling victim to a scam through a popular social media app. Through investigation, officers learned the victim had received a request from an unknown person to use their photos and was guaranteed payment. Through a series of messages, the victim became aware that they had been scammed and attended police headquarters to report the incident. This remains under investigation. ST24001402

RIDE 

A RIDE check set up in the early morning hours of Tuesday January 30th 2024 found no infractions and all drivers spoken to, were sober. ST24001413
