Recovered Stolen Vehicle
A blue 2020 Nissan Kicks reported stolen on Thursday of last week has been recovered. On Monday, we were contacted by the Toronto Police Service who has located the vehicle in their region. The owner of the vehicle was notified. ST26003169/2923
Warrant Arrests
A 30 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. On Monday afternoon, officers on community patrol located the accused who was known to them to be wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant for Failure to Comply with Probation. A search incident to arrest found the individual to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl and opiate tablets. He was additionally charged with three counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance, transported to police headquarters to be processed and was released on an appearance notice with a future court date. A 33 year old St. Thomas woman has been arrested. Early this morning while conducting a traffic stop, officers identified the driver of the vehicle as the accused. Through investigation officers learned her licence had been suspended in 2018. She was charged under the highway traffic act with Driving While Under Suspension, Fail to Surrender Insurance Card, Drive Motor Vehicle – No Licence and Fail to Wear Seat Belt. Additionally, officers were made aware of an outstanding warrant for her arrest for two counts of Assault and Failure to Comply with Release Order in relation to separate incidents in 2025. She was transported to police headquarters and processed to attend court. ST26003195
A 35 year old St. Thomas woman has been arrested. On Monday evening while dealing with the individual on an unrelated call for service, officers were made aware of an outstanding warrant for her arrest. She had been charged last week after failing to attend her court ordered probation program. She was processed and released on an appearance notice to attend court. ST26003188
Theft
A 30 year old St. Thomas man charged with Theft under $5,000 after being identified as the person responsible for stealing a bike from a downtown restaurant on Sunday, has been arrested. On Monday, officers on community patrol located the individual who was transported to police headquarters, processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST26003160/3115
Cash and sunglasses have been reported stolen from a vehicle on Parkside Drive. On Monday, police were contacted in regards to the theft that occurred sometime overnight. No damage to the vehicle was reported. ST26003132
Various items have been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. On Monday, it was reported that an unknown individual failed to pay for their items, exiting the store through the self – check out area. Video is being provided to police. ST26003144
A bottle of liquor has been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. On Monday afternoon, officers were called to the store to investigate the report of an unknown individual failing to pay for the item. This remains under investigation. ST26003162
RIDE
The St. Thomas Police Service report that of the vehicles stopped and the drivers spoken to during a RIDE program in the city last night, no infractions were found. STPS wishes to thank to community for continuing to drive safe and sober. ST26003191
Found Property
A tote containing various gift cards and books has been turned over to police. On Monday, officers were called to an address on Elm Street to collect the tote that had been located by staff arriving to work. The property has been secured at police headquarters. ST26003137
