Missing Person Located
The 14 year old St. Thomas resident reported missing on December 2nd, 2024 has been located and is safe. The St. Thomas Police Service thanks the community for their assistance and kindly ask that any photos of the teen be removed. ST24021867
Mischief
Damage to a city vehicle has been reported to police. On Monday December 2nd, an employee reported that their work truck and had been damaged in what appeared to be an attempt to gain access to the vehicle. The truck has been parked on St. Catherine’s Street since Friday evening. Police are reviewing video surveillance in the area as they continue to investigate. ST24021880
Theft
A 22 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Monday December 2nd, STPS were called to a shoplifting incident in progress at a Talbot Street retail store. The individual was located a short distance away and charged with one count of Theft under $5,000. They were transported to police headquarters where they were processed to attend court and remanded into custody. ST24021881
A black, 5th wheel electric standup scooter has been reported stolen. On Monday December 2nd, officers were called to investigate the incident that occurred in the Churchill Crescent area. It was reported that a person took the scooter from the exterior of a building while the owner was inside. This remains under investigation. ST24021898
Arson
At approximately 1:40 a.m. officers on community patrol observed a fire at the back of a building in the 400 block of Talbot Street. St. Thomas Fire was contacted and extinguished the fire that had started in a commercial garbage bin in the area. No injuries were reported. Warrant arrest
A 41 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. While on an unrelated call for service with the individual, officers were made aware of an outstanding warrant for Failure to Comply with Release Order. The 41 year old was processed and released on an appearance notice. ST24021935
