Breach of probation 

A 38 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Monday April 22nd 2024, police were called to investigate the report of an unwanted person. Police attended a southside residence and located an individual matching the description given to police. Through investigation, officers learned the 38 year old was in breach of their release conditions. The individual was arrested and transported to the Elgin County Courthouse where they were remanded into custody. ST24006370

Warrant arrest

A 32 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Monday April 22nd 2024, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding probation warrant. The individual was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24006381

Theft

A tablet valued at $250 has been reported stolen from a downtown restaurant. On Monday April 22nd 2024, police were called to investigate the theft that occurred the day before. It was reported that an unknown individual entered the establishment and removed the device from the hostess area. Video surveillance of the incident is being reviewed as police continue to investigate. ST24006396

Vehicle entry 

Personal identification has been reported stolen. On Monday April 22nd 2024, a St. Thomas resident attended police headquarters to report the theft. It was learned that their vehicle had been entered and the ID taken. No damage to the vehicle was reported. ST24006376

Approximately $220 in personal property has been reported stolen. On Monday April 22nd 2024, police were called by a vehicle owner who wished to report that while parked in the 400 block of Talbot Street, their vehicle was entered and several items were stolen. Police are reviewing available photos of incident as they continue to investigate. ST24006407
