Disturbance leads to arrest

A 19 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after we were called to a family dispute on St. Catharine Street.  Just before 12 noon on Wednesday, we were called to the address for the report of an unwanted family member causing damage to the property in an attempt to get inside. Upon arrival, officers learned the individual had threatened and attempted to harm other individuals who were in the area at the time. As a result, the 19 year old was charged with:

  • Two counts of Mischief Under $5,000
  • One count of Break, Enter dwelling house
  • One count of Utter Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm
  • One count of Assault

The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed to attend court and later released by the courts. ST25016945

Warrant Arrests 

A 36 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday, as the result of an unwanted person call for service, officers on community patrol located the individual who was known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for Theft under $5,000 after being charged earlier this month. The 36 year old was processed and released on an appearance notice with a future court date. ST25016931/16942

A 65 year old St. Thomas resident charged with one count of Assault in relation to a dispute between neighbours has been arrested. On Wednesday, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on the outstanding warrant, was processed and later released on an undertaking with a future court date. Vehicle Entries

A vehicle parked on Hughes Street has been reported entered. On Wednesday, the owner of the vehicle contacted police to report that on September 15th their vehicle was entered and several items of property, including a laptop and computer accessories valued at approximately $450 had been stolen. This remains under investigation. ST25016936

A vehicle parked on Forest Avenue has been reported entered. On Wednesday the owner of the vehicle contacted police to report that at some point in the overnight hours, their vehicle had been entered and a tool bag containing approximately $600 of tools had been stolen. This remains under investigation. ST25016944

Theft

A black Fox suspension bike with black and purple grips has been reported stolen from an address on Princess Avenue. The bike, valued at approximately $1,200 was taken from the bike rack in front of the address. CCTV is available and being reviewed. ST25016973
