Unlawfully in a Dwelling – Failure to Comply x 5

A 48 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after we were called to an address on Myrtle Street to investigate the report of an unwanted person. At 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday officers attended the address and learned the 48 year old, who had left prior to police arrival, gained access to the home of an individual they are currently on conditions to not communicate with. Just before 2:30 p.m. we were called back to the address as the 48 year old had reattended. Officers located the individual who was transported to police headquarters and charged with one count of Unlawfully in a Dwelling and five counts of Failure to Comply with Probation Order. The 48 year old was additionally processed on an outstanding warrant for three counts of Failure to Comply with Probation Order, stemming from a similar incident on September 18th and held for court. Warrant ArrestsĀ 

A 36 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. While dealing with the individual on an unrelated matter at the Elgin County Courthouse on Wednesday, officers were made aware of an outstanding warrant for Theft under $5,000 in relation to a shoplifting incident that occurred in September. The 36 year old was processed and appeared before the courts. The individual remains in custody on unrelated charges. ST25017935/16723

A 32 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. While on an unrelated call for service on Wednesday morning, officers located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for Theft under $5,000 and Mischief under $5,000 stemming from an incident in July. The 32 year old was transported to police headquarters, processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25017934/12948

A 32 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday evening, we were called to an area in the 500 block of Talbot Street to move along a group of unwanted people. Upon arrival, officers located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for Break and Enter, stemming from a incident in August. The 32 year old was transported to police headquarters where a search incident to arrest found them to be in possession of a quantity of suspected Fentanyl, resulting in the additional charge of Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid. Once processed, the 32 year old was released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25017974/17968/15320

Fail to Comply

A 40 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Failure to Comply with Release Order after we were notified that they had failed to attended their court ordered probation. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST25017959

Theft InvestigationsĀ 

$1,300 of meat has been reported stolen from a grocery store on Talbot Street. On Wednesday, we were called to the store to investigate the report of an unknown individual attending the store at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening, filling a cart with various meat products and leaving the area, failing to pay. CCTV of the incident is available and being provided to police. ST25017928

A 21 speed, black Corso mountain bike has been reported stolen. On Wednesday, the owner of the bike attended police headquarters to report the bike had been stolen after it was secured at retail store on Talbot Street on September 30th. This remains under investigation. ST25017895

A $70 bottle of alcohol has been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. On Wednesday, store staff called to report an unknown individual had attended the store, selected the product and left without paying. Video of the incident is available and being provided to police.
