Assault with a Weapon, Criminal Harassment
A 30 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday November 20th 2024, officers were called to an address on the southside of the city to investigate to report of an ongoing neighbour dispute. Upon arrival, police learned the accused had thrown an item at the victim while they were exiting the building. Through further investigation, officers learned the accused was violating an order to not communicate with the victim. As a result, the 30 year old has been charged with one count of Assault with a Weapon and Criminal Harassment. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. No injuries were reported. ST24021102

On Thursday November 21st 2024, while dealing with the individual on an unrelated call for service, officers became aware of an outstanding warrant with our service for Assault with a Weapon, Theft under $5,000, Identity Theft and Failure to Comply with Undertaking in relation to incidents from earlier this year.
