E Bike Stolen

An E bike has been reported stolen from a home on Park Avenue. On Wednesday May 17th 2023, police were called to investigate after the homeowner reports their black Jetson E Bike had been stolen from their front porch sometime between May 15th and May 17th. The bike was secured to the porch of the home. Police continue to investigate. ST23008323

Shoplift

A flat iron, valued at approximately $100 has been stolen from a retail store on Edward Street. Police were called to investigate after an employee reported an unknown person entered the store around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday May 17th, 2023 selected the tool and then left, making no attempt to pay. Police are reviewing available video. ST23008372

Gas drive off, stolen plates 

St. Thomas Police are investigating three related incidents after being called to a local gas station for a gas drive off. On Wednesday May 17th 2023 police were called to the Talbot Street address after staff reported a person driving a 4 door sedan pumped $72.00 worth of gas and then left without paying. Through investigation, police confirmed the plates on the vehicle had been reported stolen earlier in the day from two separate vehicles parked in a parking lot on Elm Street. The suspect is described as wearing a light coloured sweater, ball cap and camo pants. Police are reviewing video surveillance and continue their investigation. ST23008375/80/85

Warrant arrests

A 32 year old Port Stanley resident wanted by our service for 1 count of Criminal Harassment has been arrested. On Wednesday May 17th 2023, that accused attended police headquarters to turn themselves in. The 32 year old was processed and released on an appearance notice. ST23008341/8363

A 40 year old St. Thomas resident wanted by our service for Theft under $5,000 has been arrested by London Police Service. On Wednesday May 17th 2023, LPS were dealing with the individual on an unrelated matter when they became aware of our warrant from a shoplifting incident in St. Thomas in April. As such, the 40 year old was transferred into our custody, processed and released on an undertaking. ST23008342/6383

A 32 year old London resident wanted by our service for Theft under $5,000 has been arrested by London Police Service. On Wednesday May 17th 2023, LPS were dealing with the individual on an unrelated matter when they became aware of our warrant from a shoplifting incident in St. Thomas, in April. Kids bike, found

A youth Momentum Super Cycle has been turned into St. Thomas Police. City staff attended STPS on Wednesday May 17th 2023 after finding the bike in the area of Fanshawe College and the Doug Tarry Sports Complex. Please contact STPS at 519-631-1224 x 4321. ST23008328
