Arrested, held for court 

A 33 year old St. Thomas resident was arrested downtown on May 10th, 2023. Officers on community patrol located the individual who was known to police as having an outstanding warrant with our service for Breach of Probation. While being processed, the 33 year old was found to be in possession of identification that was not theirs and subsequently charged with one count Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and held for court. A 43 year old St. Thomas resident recently released by the courts has been arrested. St. Thomas Police were called to a residence in the city to investigate the report of an unwanted person. Upon arrival, police located the individual who was in breach of their condition to not attend the address. As a result, the 43 year old has been charged with one count Failure to Comply with Release Order and has been held for court. ST23007858

A 37 year old St. Thomas resident with an outstanding warrant for Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose and Failure to Comply with an Undertaking has been arrested. On May 10th, 2023 officers on community patrol located the individual and executed the warrant. The 37 year old was transported to police headquarters, processed and held for court. ST23007877

Arrested and released 

A 32 year old St. Thomas resident with an outstanding warrant for Assault has been arrested. The resident was interacting with police and asked if there were any outstanding warrants for their arrest that hadn’t been processed. The officer ran a check and confirmed there was an outstanding warrant for an Assault charge dating back to an incident from 2022. The warrant was executed and the 32 year old was released on an appearance notice. ST23007889

Mischief

On Wednesday May 10th 2023, St. Thomas Police were called to investigate damage that had been caused to a shed on the property of a church on the south side of the city. Through investigation it was learned that a piece of plywood covering a hole to the shed had been removed. No entry was gained and nothing was reported stolen. Police were provided a description of a suspect seen in the area at the time of the incident and continue to investigate. ST23007863

Theft

A 36 year old St. Thomas resident is wanted by police after a shoplifting incident at a retail store in the city last night. On May 10th 2023, just after 9:00 p.m. St. Thomas Police were called by store staff who wished to report the incident. Through investigation, police were able to identify the suspect seen on video selecting various items, concealing them and then leaving the store making no attempt to pay. A total of approximately $124.00 in goods was stolen. The suspect was met outside by loss prevention at which time, the majority of items were returned however, the 36 year old failed to return all of the items. A warrant has been requested for one count Theft under $5,000. ST23007882

Break and Enter 

On Wednesday May 10th 2023, St. Thomas Police were called to investigate a break and enter that had occurred at a fourplex on the south side of the city. Through investigation it was learned an unknown person entered the building and gained access to a locked closet. A bag was reported stolen. A suspect description was given to police. ST23007888

Intimate Partner Violence 

A 16 year old St. Thomas resident has been charge with two counts of Uttering Threats after police were called to investigate an incident involving 2 parties known to each other. The resident attended police headquarters, was processed and released on an undertaking. ST23007886
