Assault – Three Teens Charged
Three St. Thomas teens have been charged with Assault after police were called to investigate a disturbance at the arena involving a group of youths, Wednesday night.
Police learned that during the altercation, the victim was punched in the head and knocked to the ground. While on the ground, the victim was assaulted by multiple individuals sustaining injury requiring medical treatment.
As a result of the investigation, three youths were arrested and charged.
A 18 year old male was charged with Assault.
A 17 year old female was charged with Assault.
A 15 year old male was charged with Assault, Being Intoxicated in a Public Place, and Person Under 19 Years – Possess Cannabis.
All accused parties were processed at police headquarters, released from custody and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date. ST26003752
Failure to Comply
A 47 year old St. Thomas man charged with Failure to Comply with Undertaking after officers were made aware of unwanted communication has been arrested. On Wednesday afternoon, the accused attended police headquarters to turn himself in. He was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST26003707
A 57 year old St. Thomas woman has been charged with eight counts of Failure to Comply with Undertaking after several incidents of unwanted communication were reported to police. On Wednesday, officers were made aware of the accused attempting to communicate with an individual they are currently on conditions to not communicate with. A warrant for her arrest has been requested. ST26003756
Warrant Arrest
A 62 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. On Wednesday, while dealing with the individual on an unrelated matter officers were made aware of an outstanding warrant for arrest stemming from an incident in October. The accused was processed and released on an appearance notice. ST26003748
Fraud
St. Thomas police are investigating the report of tax fraud. On Wednesday, a local resident contacted police to report suspicious communication from the person that had been doing their annual taxes as well as receiving notice from the Canada Revenue Agency of a significant balance owing. Theft
St. Thomas police are investigating the report of $1,000 of merchandise being stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. On Wednesday, it was reported that on several occasions, an unknown female attended the store and failed to pay for her items each time. Video has been provided to police. ST26003721
Four pairs of jeans have been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. On Wednesday evening, police were called to the store after an unknown male had left the area with the clothing. Video has been provided to police. ST26003736
$600 has been reported stolen after a local resident reported their debit card stolen. On Wednesday, the victim contacted police to report several purchases that had been made with their card. This remains under investigation. ST26003745
RIDE
Of the vehicles stopped and drivers spoken to during a RIDE program in the city Wednesday afternoon, STPS are pleased to report no infractions were found. Thank you for continuing to drive safe and sober. ST26003715
