Mischief

St. Thomas police are currently investigating damage caused to several businesses in the downtown core. On Wednesday March 19th 2025, police were made aware of the businesses being marked or tagged with yellow and green graffiti. CCTV in the area captures the incidents and police are reviewing the available video as they continue to investigate. ST25004498/4546/4550

Theft

A Stihl concrete saw, valued at approximately $1,500 has been reported stolen from a work site on Wellington Street. On Wednesday March 19th 2025, a company working in the area called to report that while they were on the other side of their work site, the saw was stolen. This remains under investigation. Warrant Arrests 

A 39 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday March 19th 2025, officers were called to investigate the report of a suspicious person at a local park. Upon arrival, police located the individual who was known to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for a total of 10 charges, dating back to March of last year. The 39 year old was transported to police headquarters, processed to attend court and was remanded into custody. ST25004516

A 34 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday March 19th 2025, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted by our service for Theft under $5,000 after being identified and charged in a shoplifting incident from earlier this month. The 34 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25004514

A 30 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday March 19th 2025, STPS were notified by Elgin OPP that they had the individual in their custody and were made aware of the outstanding warrant held by our service. The 30 year old had been charged with Breach of Probation and Failure to Comply with Appearance Notice. St. Thomas police processed the outstanding warrant and the individual remained in the custody of OPP. ST25004515
