Threats – Intimate Partner Violence
A 45 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after police were called to investigate the report of an unwanted person. Last night, just before midnight we attended a Talbot Street address to investigate the report of the 45 year old attending their former partners address and uttering threats to cause harm. Upon arrival, we located the individual who continued to threaten the victim in the presence of police. The 45 year old was charged with one count of Utter Threats and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST25011517
Warrant Arrests
A 37 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant for Theft under $5,000 after being charged in relation to a shoplifting incident in June. The 37 year old was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25011494/1155
A 63 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday afternoon, we were contacted by Elgin OPP who had the individual in custody on the strength of our outstanding warrant for Theft under $5,000, stemming from theft investigation in June. Officers attended and processed the individual who was later released on an appearance notice. ST25011499
Mischief
The windshield of a vehicle parked at an address on Parkside Drive has been reported smashed. On Wednesday, the owner contacted police to report that sometime overnight, their vehicle had been damaged. ST25011449
Solar lights along the L&PS trail have been reported damaged. On Wednesday, we were called to the area after city staff found the damage while working along the trail. ST25011461
An 18 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Mischief after causing damage at an address on the southeast side of the city, following a family dispute on Wednesday. Police attended the area and located the individual who was arrested and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and later released on an undertaking with a future court date. A vehicle, parked at an address on Scott Street has been reported damaged. On Wednesday afternoon, police were called to investigate the report of an individual kicking a vehicle, causing damage. This remains under investigation. ST25011479
