Arrest Made in Assault Investigation

A 65 year old St. Thomas man charged following an assault investigation that began Tuesday afternoon, has been arrested. On Wednesday, officers located the accused and took him into custody. Charged with Assault, Assault Cause Bodily Harm, Uttering Threats and Careless Driving, he was transported to police headquarters, processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST26001119/1050

Criminal Harassment

A 36 year old London man has been charged after repeated, unwanted communication. On Wednesday, officers were called to investigate the report of the man continuing to make attempts to contact an individual in St. Thomas, after being spoken to by police last week. As a result, the 36 year old has been charged with one count of Criminal Harassment. A warrant for his arrest has been requested. ST26001110

Warrant ArrestsĀ 

A 25 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. On Wednesday, while dealing with the individual on an unrelated matter officers at the Elgin County Courthouse were made aware of an outstanding probation warrant from April 2025. The 25 year old had been charged with Failure to Comply with Release Order when he failed to attend his court ordered probation program. He was processed before the courts. ST26001113

A 37 year old St. Thomas woman has been arrested. On Wednesday evening, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for Theft under $5,000 and Failure to Comply with Undertaking, stemming from an incident on January 10th. The 37 year old was processed and released on an appearance with a future court date. ST26001140

Break and Enter InvestigationsĀ 

St. Thomas police are currently investigating the report of a break and enter that occurred at construction site on Kains Street. On Wednesday, officers were called to the site by an employee who wished to report significant damage had been caused to two residential units, currently under construction. Additionally, approximately $10,000 in wiring and building materials were reported stolen. CCTV in the area has been located and is being reviewed by police as this remains under investigation. A residential break and enter has been reported to police. On Wednesday, police were called to an apartment on Talbot Street to investigate the report of the unit being entered. Through investigation officers learned the door and lock of the apartment had sustained damage and an unknown person had made entry. The apartment is currently vacant and being prepaid for new tenancy. This remains under investigation. ST26001132
