Collision Involving Police – Minor Injuries Sustained 

Last night, a collision involving a marked police vehicle occurred at the intersection of Pearl Street and Curtis Street. Just before 11:00 p.m. the driver of a vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with the police vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway and strike a stop sign. The involved officer was transported to hospital with minor injuries and has since been treated and released. No other serious injuries were reported. The police vehicle sustained significant damage and was towed from the scene. A 66-year-old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Disobey Stop Sign under the Highway Traffic Act. ST26000771

Intimate Partner Violence

A 30 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested after police were called to a disturbance on Wednesday evening. Just before midnight, officers attended the intersection of CASO Crossing and Talbot Street after reports of there being an individual yelling for help. Through investigation, officers learned the individual had been assaulted by their boyfriend who had left the area prior to police arrival. The victim additionally reported the accused had damaged their property. The 30 year old was located a short distance away and arrested. Charged with one count of Assault and one count of Mischief, he was transported to police headquarters, processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST26000773

Theft Investigation Leads to Warrant Arrest

A 50 year old St. Thomas woman has been arrested after police were called to investigate the report of a theft that had occurred from a store in the retail block of 1063 Talbot Street. It was reported that the accused had failed to pay for several grocery items. A description was provided to police who located the individual a short distance away. Through further investigation, officers learned the accused was wanted by our service for Theft under $5,000 in relation to a shoplifting incident in September. Charged with Theft under $5,000 and processed on the outstanding warrant, the 50 year old St. Thomas woman was later released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST26000741/0743/ST25015992

Warrant Arrest

A 42 year old St. Thomas woman has been arrested. On Wednesday, while dealing with the individual on an unrelated matter at St. Thomas Police HQ, officers were made aware of several outstanding warrants for her arrest stemming from incidents in 2024 and 2025. The 42 year old had been charged with Uttering Threats and two separate charges of Theft under $5,000. She was processed to attend court and was remanded into custody. ST26000725

A 36 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. While on an unrelated call for service, officers located the individual known to them to be wanted for Theft under $5,000 stemming from a shoplifting incident in September.
