Mischief

Approximately $1,000 in damage has been cause to an apartment window. On Wednesday February 21st 2024, officers were called to a downtown apartment building to investigate the damage that occurred sometime over the last three days. This remains under investigation. ST24002731

Break and enter

St. Thomas police are currently investigating a break and enter to a residence on the southside of the city. On Wednesday February 21st 2024, officers were called to the address after the homeowners returned to their property to find damage to the garage door and various tools, stolen. This remains under investigation. ST24002743

Warrant arrest

A 22 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday February 21st 2024, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant with our service for Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Fraud under $5,000 stemming from an investigation that began in October of 2023. The 22 year old was processed on the charges and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24002752

Arson 

St. Thomas police are currently investigating a fire that occurred at a commercial property on Hiawatha Street. This morning at 12:00 a.m. police attended the area, where St. Thomas Fire had extinguished a fire to a shed. The shed had been completely damaged and charred. No one was found in the area and no injuries were reported as a result of the fire. With assistance from the Fire Prevention Officer, this remains under investigation. ST24002773

Assault

A 27 year old London resident has been arrested. On Thursday February 22nd, 2024 officers were called to an area on the southside of the city to investigate the report of a disturbance. Police attended the area and through investigation learned an assault had occurred between two parties, known to each other. As a result, the 27 year old was charged with one count of Assault. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24002774
