Assault with a Weapon 

A 20 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after an incident at a retail store on Talbot Street on Wednesday afternoon. At approximately 1:45 p.m. police were contacted by a loss prevention employee who had been in an altercation with an individual who had been trespassed from the store, earlier this year. It was reported that while asking the 20 year old to return items they had concealed in their jacket and leave the store, the employee was threaten when the individual produced a knife before leaving the area on a bike. No injuries were reported. Officers quickly located the 20 year old who was in possession of the knife reported in the altercation.

As a result, the 20 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with:

  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Theft under $5000
  • Possession of a Prohibited Device
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for court. ST24022023

Mischief

A 14 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after police were called to an address on the northside of the city, last night. Officers attended the address of concern to investigate the report of the teen causing damage to the home after a verbal argument. Upon arrival, police observed significant damage to several walls and a door. As a result, the 14 year old was charged with one count of Mischief and transported to St. Thomas police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. Warrant Arrest

A 37 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday December 4th 2024, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for Breach of Probation dating back to May 2024. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST24022050

RIDE

St. Thomas police are pleased to share that of the vehicles 172 vehicles that were stopped and their drivers spoken to during a RIDE program in the city on Wednesday morning, no infractions or concerns were reported.
