Theft
A 10-speed mountain bike has been reported stolen from an address on Chestnut Street. On Wednesday, we were called by the owner of the bike who wished to report it had been stolen while they were attending a class in the area. CCTV is being reviewed. ST25014034
A basket full of clothing and merchandise has been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. On Wednesday night, we were called to the area after an unknown person left the store, failing to pay for their items. CCTV is being provided to police as we continue to investigate. ST25014036
Warrant Arrests
A 33 year old London resident has been arrested. On Wednesday, we were contacted by the London Police Service who had the individual in custody on the strength of our outstanding warrant. The individual had been charged with Theft under $5,000 after being identified as the person responsible in a shoplifting incident dating back to October of 2023. At that time, $600 of merchandise had been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. We attended London and took custody of the individual who was transported to police headquarters, processed and released on undertaking with a future court date. ST25013992/ST23017826
A 51 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday, while dealing with the individual on an unrelated call for service, officers were made aware of an outstanding warrant held by the Owen Sound Police Service. The 51 year old was wanted by their service for Indecent Act, Mischief and Causing a Disturbance, dating back to 2020. The Owen Sound Police Service were notified, attended St. Thomas Police headquarters and took custody of the individual. ST25014019
