Warrant Arrest

A 43 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday April 2nd 2024, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant with our service for Sexual Assault, dating back to an incident in 2020. The 43 year old was processed and release on an appearance. ST24005180

A 55 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday April 3rd 2024, the individual attended police headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant with our service for Assault and Mischief, stemming from an incident the day prior. The 55 year old was processed and released with a future court date. ST24005198

A 38 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday April 3rd 2024, after receiving several community complaints about a suspicious person entering backyards and properties, police located the 38 year old in the area same area as the complaints. The individual was known to police to be wanted on an outstanding warrant with our service for Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Failure to Comply with Release Order. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST24005232

A 39 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday April 3rd 2024, officers located the individual known to them to be wanted for one count of Theft under $5,000 after they were identified as the person responsible for a shoplifting incident, reported on April 2nd. The 39 year old has processed and released on an appearance notice. ST24005178/5240

Break and enter 

St. Thomas police are currently investigating a residential break and enter. On Wednesday April 3rd 2024, officers were called to an address on the northside of the city to investigate the report of damage being done to the front door of a home. Through investigation, police learned an unknown person attended the address and kicked the door in an attempt to make entry. The suspect fled the area. Police are reviewing video surveillance as they continue to investigate. ST24005250

Youth Disturbance

Two St. Thomas youth have been charged following an incident overnight. At approximately 12:20 a.m. St. Thomas police responded to a disturbance on Fifth Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located the individuals who were heavily intoxicated. The youths, aged 14 were transported to police headquarters where they were both charged with one count of Being Intoxicated in a Public Place and one count of Under 19 Consumption. The youths were held in custody until sober and released to their parents. ST24005254
